Hello,
TIFFA scan means targeted imaging for fetal anomalies. It is basically an anomalies scan which is performed around the 20th week of pregnancy, usually as a routine, especially when there is high risk. It can be repeated safely if needed as it involves no radiation. There is no need to fill the bladder as in the first trimester pelvic sonograms. So, you need not drink excess water. In your case, the scan is mostly ordered to look for the placenta. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
