Is mucus in stool a matter of concern?

I suddenly have large amounts of mucus being expelled from my colon without bowel movements. A few months ago I began having a lot of very hard stool which is unusual for me. I was diagnosed with microscopic colitis a few years ago so if I have issues, it is usually diarrhea. Should I worry about this ? The mucus can be embarrassing because I have little control over expelling it.

I have had a very active stomach for over 24 hours. Noisy and loose stools frequently. The activity stopped about three in the morning and now it is 4 in the afternoon and I had a very sharp pain in the left side of my belly under my rib cage. I went to the bathroom and huge loud gas escaped followed by a very gel like stool. Is this anything to be concerned about?

After I have a BM, my stool had always sunk to the bottom of the water, touching the bottom of the toilet bowl. However, after I have a BM, all of my stools float to the top of the water. Is this anything I need to worry about or have checked by a doctor?
