Hello Doctor

I just got married from last two days. My wife supposed to get her period on last 12 June but till now she didn't get her period, we have only did sex on last 17 and 18 June which is after 12 June. Is this can create any pregnancy? If not then how can she get her period back?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. There are several possible reasons for this absence of period-1. If she had been using any medication to postpone her period in the event of the marriage, withdrawal bleeding can happen 3-7 days after completion of the medication, it may even take ten days. 2. stress can also delay a period. It is unlikely for her to conceive if she is regular with her cycles, as ovulation occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next cycle. Thus, the dates when you had the intercourse are the safe dates. Pregnancy can happen, however, if she has irregular cycles or prolonged cycles. Please contact a specialist for a proper clinical appraisal and if pregnancy is excluded, hormones are given to induce a period. Hope this helps.
