Is Migraine And Myopia Interrelated Or Independent?

I have a high myopi and astigmatic which nearly add up to -8 and also routine migraine pains at least three times in a month, my migraine begins with an eye pain and extents to upper parts of my face and finally when it reaches to top level it becames focused on a single point but severity of the pain progresses at reverse direction, as the area of the pain narrows, the severity widens. My question, are my migraine and myopia interrelated or independent?

Hello,

Migraine and myopia are independent and are due to different mechanisms. You can consult your physician for migraine prophylaxis. There are many medicines available for this and they help in preventing further episodes of migraine .
