Is Metrogyl Safe To Use For Sun Burns?
I had sun burn on my face after I went to Ladakh, a place at 15,000feet. I applied diprovate and the problem was solved. After some days it came again and after a few days small red eruptions appeared on my arms too. I have been applying diprovate and sunsreen twice in a day for almost a month. My skin is oily but after coming back from Ladakh my skin on the upper lips appears to be very dry and I can feel the stretching. Now the doctor has asked me to apply metrogyl gel over diprovate cream for few days. Is this safe to use?

You have sunburn on your face and used Diprovate Cream. Now you are having dry upper lips and stretching. Diprovate MF cream removes the dead skin cells from the skin and softens it, so you will experience dryness and stretching until the new cells come. Protect your skin from harsh weather condition, avoid using strong cosmetics & do not use make up for a couple of days. Apply a thin layer of cream containing aloe vera. You can also apply Soframycin cream to protect the new cells and also to maintain moisture and softness.
Do not use Diprovate Cream for a long time. It is not recommended for long term use. Metrogyl gel is commonly given to treat rosacea, pimples, acne, etc. You may not use it if your sun burns have got well. Stay well hydrated and nourished to keep your skin healthy and glowing,
