Hello,

Progyluton is a combined pill of estrogen and progesteron and is used to control the periods as the doctor has already done in your case. Normally a pack of it has 21 tablets which you should use daily and then have a 7 days pause and start the next pack after 7 days of pause. During this time bleeding should happen (it imitates and normal menstrual cycle).
If you use it without stop irregular bleeding can happen.

Generally it is taken 3-6 months for irregular periods to help them become more regular.
I think what the doctor meant that in 3 months you will have your period is that in 3 months of treatment you will get more regular periods but not that you will not bleed at all during the time of treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
