Is Memory Loss Common During Pneumonia Incidence?
hello--I m worried about my mom--88 and has been in the hospital with pneumonia for a week. She seems depressed and a little confused--they asked her what was her birthdate and she couldn t remember--she was sharp as a tack before. Should I be worried?

Geriatric condition is always associated with memory problem and this is not because of the disease what ever it may be right now, as pneumonia being asked here, hope this helps.

The loss of memory is not because of the pneumonia but this could be due to the geriatric problem and that is age related in my opinion this is nothing to worry as she is already 88 years old, take care.
