Is Lump Around The Groin Of An Infant Due To Vaccination?
My 13 month old little girl has been super fussy and not sleeping. She had her vaccines 2 weeks ago. When I changed her diaper I noticed a lump around the groin area on the right side. When I touched it she squirmed and whined a little. Could this be a side effect from the vaccines?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have lump around the groin . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like swollen lymph gland , hernia or saphena varix. It can also occur due to reaction of vaccination. I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically and check for tenderness and consistency , take sample for lab test and prescribe antibacterial or anti viral depending upon the diagnosis . Doctor may also prescribe anti inflammatory and vitamin supplement for quick healing . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminopehn for pain and apply warm compresses .
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
