Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

No losing virginity is not associated with severe pain. Losing virginity is usually happens by breakage of hymen in females. Hymen is a delicate membrane situated just inside vaginal opening.
In some cases the female may not feel pain at all just bleeding by break down of hymen, while in others the female may experience both bleeding & slight pain. In many cases females have broken hymen during their childhood during some physical activity & took that as their period. So these females will not have any bleeding & minimal pain.
So you should not worry about the pain associated with losing virginity. The more your fear the more it would be difficult to lose virginity. The more you would be excited to have your sexual intercourse the lesser the pain you would feel. So don't have fear of pain & move on. Wishing you a great sex life ahead.

Don't worry you would be fine
Hope this information helps
Good luck
