General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

No reliable cure is presently available for lichen planus pigmentosus. Topical high dose steroids, Minocycline, Dapsone, Hydroxychloroquine, Isotretinoin, Griseofulvin and systemic corticosteroids are being tried with not much success. Tranexamic acid is also being tried to reduce pigmentation with little long term evaluation presently.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
