Is Knee Replacement Safe While Having Lower Back Issues?
I have three things wrong with my lower back. Stenosis, DDD, scholiosis. I have had them for over 10 years. I am 72. I also have a right knee with bone on bone arthritis. I have had shots and wear a knee brace. My concern is if I replace the knee will the change in my walk, my stance, my gate. etc cause my back to go balistic and create huge back issues for me? My orthpedic surgeon says he see no problem. But I know he wants to operate on my knee. Should I go to a back specialist and get his opinion on what the knee replacement will do to my back?

I really appreciate your concern, what you are looking for is doubtful still you can discus with orthopedic surgeon, the medical condition that you have and your age it indicates that you may not be qualified for operation and even if did this then result may not be as you are thinking or you want, hope this information helps.
