Is Keflex Likely To Minimize Redness And Toe Pain?

My right big toe had pain and was red for about 1-1/2 weeks. I went to the podiatrist and she gave me Keflex. I have taken it since last friday, but the redness is still there. I have had no pain, but for the first few days. I have 2 more days to take the antibiotic. Is this something serious?

Keflex is cephalexien I hope. Coming to your question as you said you have no pain but redness.I need to know more to answer precisely.if you were to my clinic I would have put you on penicillin and pot.clavulunate based antibiotic as they have good skin penetration. And add an antiinflammatory and serratiopeptidase. Any wayscomplete the course of antibiotic.and please let me know if you have any pus pointing .usually only redness will subside in two or three days .
