Is Itching Normal While Taking Antibiotics?

Hi my husband went to the er Sunday evening for blood in his urine and having a hard time peeing; it came back as his prostate being inflammed. so he has been on a antibiotic since Monday. Today he said it itches when he pees.. is this normal since being on antibiotics?

You have not mentioned the name of the antibiotic that was prescribed.Antibiotics can cause allergic reactions.Antihistamines can be taken to reduce itching.Incase of persistent allergies,kindly stop the drug and visit your physician for alternate antibiotic.
