Hello,

Itchy breasts are commonly due to heat rash, dry skin, infections 'cause moist, warm skin are breeding grounds for bacterial, fungal, yeast infections.

Other factors are ringworms, contact dermatitis, pruritis, etc. You are suggested to get examined by a gynecologist.

You may need oral antibiotics & investigative blood tests.

In the meantime, skip wearing bra, avoid under wire bra's, wear cotton clothes which are loose-fitting. Use unscented soaps & moisturizers, don't share your clothes.

Apply cool compress in the affected area. Calamine lotion & drying powders are effective to reduce the discomfort. Do not scratch. You can apply Rash free creams & ointments.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
