Is Itching And Swollen Face Due To Hair Dye Reaction?

I dyed my hair about 5 days ago. My scalp in one spot is itchy. I have a raised area on my forehead about quarter sized and smaller one on brow that is itchy. On my face in front of ears are swollen a bit and on one side of my neck is swollen. Do you think I had a reaction to the dye? I never had one before.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Thank you for the query. It appears by the symptoms mentioned and the timing of your rashes that you might have had a reaction to the dye.Always be cautious in using dyes.It is best to avoid dyes. You better take antihistamines for now and wipe the lesions with warm saline to dry the lesions if wet. You can use calamine lotion as soothing agent.Consult your doctor if it becomes severe.
