Is Itchiness On Stomach, Itchy Nipples With Big Red Ring Around Nipples Concerning?

I have had an itch on my stomach and above it. I also have itchy nipples and there is a big red ring around them. I recently bought new bras with rubber in them, can it be that. I also flew on vacation.and this happened when I got home, should I be worried. I have an appointment with my doctor on Monday for my yearly physical, but I am getting worried. I never had scarlet fever.

Hello,

I have gone through your query and it seems to be an eczematous rash. This is nothing serious. I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg once daily.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Asmeet Kaur Sawhney, Dermatologist
