Is It To Be Worried About Elevated Blood Pressure?

Have b/p of 85/50 and have had open heart x3 cags and further to that more surgery to repair collapse of bypass and stents. Went to doctor yesterday flu like symptoms and had a b/p reading as given. Should I worry more than my doctor who said just take things slow???????

Hello,

The blood pressure is low. You are possibly taking too much blood pressure lowering medications. You may need to measure it two times daily for a week. Consult a cardiologist if symptoms persist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
