Is It To Be Concerned If Having Small Bruises On The Chest Which Was Due To Hurt?

I was struck hard in the chest, it is a bit painful to move around freely. No major bruising. Small bruises located on both left and right sides on lower ribs near bottom of the v on each lower rib. Is there any concern I should be aware of. I don t presently have medical insurance.

Thanks for your question on HCM. Since you are having trauma over chest, in my opinion you should atleast get done chest x ray to rule out any internal injury like pulmonary contusions, rib fractures etc. No need to worry about bruises. It will heal withtime. Avoid heavy weight lifting, avoid such movement causing pain. Take good pain killers and muscle relaxant. Wear rib belt if feasible.
