Is It To Be Concerned About The Bruise On The Abdomen?

I am an obese 32 yr old female that works 80+ hours weekly as a nurse aide in a nursing home. I am diagnosed diabetic but due to recent health care changes and laws, I have been with health insurance for 1 year now. For the last two weeks, I have had 2 bruises that range from 2.5 inches wide to 1 inch wide pop up on my lower abdomen. I frequently check my glucose level and it ranges from 80 to 150. Do you think my bruising have something related to glucose level in my body.

Hi.
As per your case history, you are having purpuric rash.
My treatment advice is -
1. It is common in diabetes patients.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.
4. Other treatment options are oral calcium dobisilate, multivitamins taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
