Is It To Be Concerned About Placenta Is Posterior During Pregnancy?

Hi doctor...iam 13 weeks 3 days pregnant 36 years old and my ultrasound report says the placenta is posterior and isjust covering the os and the placental maturity is grade o....can u please explain what exactly it means and precautions one should take in such condition

Hello dear thanks for trusting health care magic.
This condition needs very good monitoring throughout pregnancy because of high risk of torrential bleeding and thus grave consequences for both mother and baby.
Avoid straining at stools, avoid sex u all contact with husband, because rest as much as possible and no heavy work at all.
Delivery will be by cesarean section most probably.
