I have a brain tumor, a tectal glioma, which is on the roof of the brainstem so they are not able to remove it. I started having headaches almost two years ago, but I finally went after a year to get migraine meds. They did an MRI and diagnosed my tumor with lesions in different lobes as well. The headaches are intense pounding with no sensitivity or aurora, but def are made worse by bending over or exercise. They are usually first thing in the morning also. Lately I have been getting a different kind of headache along with my usual headache. I get a sharp pain near my left temple, it feels like someone may be stabbing me there. It has been happening more frequently lately, along with my usual headaches that no medicine seem to help. Though a spinal tap did relieve my headaches for awhile. I am wondering if these intense sharp pains should alarm me? Could they potentially be dangerous? Because it is new I will be seeing my doctor but it takes weeks to get in. I just would like to know if I should be overly concerned with this new type of headache.
