Is It To Be Concern About Mucous In Child S Stool?
My 3 nth old son was checked out by a pead surgeon last night to diagnose a hydracele (confirmed w/ultrasound) he is in no pain etc although it does seem to be larger than yesterday- but has just had a green mucous poo. He is fully breastfed. Is this related?

Hi...this green colored mucoid stool is not related to the hydrocele. It is quite common for the kids of this age to have some amount green stools even when exclusively breast fed. Unless the kid's having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry.
