Is It To Be Concern About Cough And Cold In Child?

my 18 month old son has cough and cold for a week. then he had fever and conjunctivitis. conjunctivitis got cured in three days but the high fever remained, hence he was put on Azithral antibiotics. it is his 2nd day, but slight fever is there. the cough is so worse that he is not able to sleep and more or less coughs throughout the day too. he was taking Ascoril syrup but that does not seem to help much

Hi, welcome to HCM.
Your 18 month child has cough, fever and is on azithromycin and ascoril but the cough is not relieving.
This could be due to development of wheezing episode in child or lower respiratory tract infection.
If the child has wheezing episode then you have to nebulise the child for 2 days.
Since it's only two days on azithromycin so you should wait for 1 more day and if child don't respond then antibiotic needs to be changed.
I hope this will help you.
Take care.
