Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Metformin works good for PCOS.Insulin resistance will be high in PCOS.So your body will again produce more insulin which will cause imbalance in your hormones which is causing irregularity in menses ,facial hair, thinning of hair ,acne , absence of ovulation which gives a infertility also.By continuing metformin your insulin resistance will decrease and helps in aborting other symptoms also.A proper dieting and exercise is also necessary. If all these wont help then clomiphene citrate is used to induce ovulation. Those who not respond to that need a surgical drilling of ovaries.
Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
