Is It Safe To Use MTPs To Avoid Pregnancy?

Hi,I had a couple of MTPs [with tablets] before and after delivery of my boy and the bleeding was normal and last for 5 to 7 days only. My husband and I have decided for one baby only. Badly, I got pregnant again after safe intercourse. We are planning for MTP again. IS there any health issues because i just do not want to do it again. Moreover is it advisible for family planning with one baby?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think that MTP kits can have a lot of side effects so I will suggest you to use these kits with caution and they should not be used again and again.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
