Is It Safe To Use Azelastine Nose Spray With A Case Of Glaucoma?

I have glaucoma. I am not suppose to have any other medicine with steroids is what I was told by my eye Dr.My ENT. Has prescribed Azelastine Nose spray. I have read that this contains Fluticasone. Is this safe for me to use beachside of the glaucoma?

hello,
i can understand your concern.
any form of steriod use even nasal and skin preparations can increase the eye pressures.
i would advise if you are taking the steroid for more than two weeks, get the pressures evaluated by your doctor and the dosages would be adjusted. if its for a week or 5 days, you need not worry.
you havent mentioned the reason for nasal spray, if its for an allergic thing, an alternative can be advised by consulting your ENT.
