Is It Safe To Travel With Low Lying Placenta And Mild Retroplacental Hematoma?
hello goodmorning im Gravida 1 Para 0 im 16 weeks pregnant and was having vaginal spotting because of heavy work in Emergency room doctor dignosed me as having low lying placenta and mild retroplacental hematoma inferior edge I want to go home in phils. by airplane is it safe for me to travel? my doctor advised me also to take rectal suppositories is it helpful? now the treatment was over but still the repeat ultrasound result was low lying marginal previa
well placenta previa marginal is grade 2 . i your case you had a warning bleed at 16weeks pregnancy as you said you did some heavy work. now there occurs climbing of placenta with formation of lower uterine segment as you would grow in pregnancy, so a repeat ultrasound for relocalization of placenta needs to be done at 32 weeks, that should confirm the location. now the concern for travelling is that , you can travel by airplane provided your spotting has completely stopped and you promise not to life any weight or heavy objects hereafter . i would advise ideally rest for 2 weeks along with progesterone tabs daily and then you shold be ready to fly. regards
