Is It Safe To Travel During 18th Week Of Pregnancy?

My Wife s entering is 18 week pregnant she wish to travel to Mumbai by train to attend a marriage ... The baby condition is normal.. she recently traveled for 12 hrs and became tried and exhausted after reaching the place. and Mumbai travel is a day long.. is it okay if she travels? please advise..

Hi,
I understand your concern.
*If the pregnancy is normal, she should be allowed to travel with proper reservation & somebody to accompany her through travel.
& * let her have small/repeated servings of food including fresh fruits/ milk/ food items she is used to. Avoid over eating/starving.
*Ideally she should consult her treating doctor ( who is well versed with her case), & ask for some medicines to be taken during travel for supportive/ preventive basis- if doctor finds it needful.
