Is It Safe To Take Mucinex During Pregnancy?

pregnant with a chest cold Hi I m 25 and 9 weeks pregnant and I have a really bad chest cold along with sore throat and bad cough. the phlegm is thick and hard to cough up. I have mucinex but not sure how safe it is for pregnancy. its worked great for me in the past. so my question is is it safe to take mucinex? and if not, what is?

Yes, Mucinex just doesn't get in. It really doesn't get to the growing baby. so, if it isn't there, it isn't going to do anything to the developing baby.

Frankly, the alternatives, warm tea, and lemon I've had more serious problems with (ok, the person drank five entire gallons. That's like 20 liters).
