Is it safe to take iron supplements during pregnancy ?

hi im 30 weeks pregnant n my blood results show 10.6 mg of iron..i was asked to take iron supplements . my prenatal vitamins had 27mg of iron n iron supplements im taking shows iron 65mg.. is it safe to take both? i heard that too much of iron may lead to gestational diabetes ..plz help me

Minimum requirement of iron is 60mg elemental iron.Continue with both.Your hemoglobin may be on the lower side but its not fatal.Just take what you are taking.And no,it doesnt have direct connection to gestational diabetes.
