Is It Safe To Take Advent For Pneumonia?

my mother is 50 years old having weight 50 kg got Nimoniya... and doctors advised her tablet advent 625mg three times a day.... isn"t this overdose for her as she felt restless, headache and did vomiting also after taking medicine thrice a day .... but if she take twice a day... then she is ok... kindly advice..

I can understand your concern.
Advent is having combination of amoxicillin and clavulinic acid.
Ideal dose is 625 mg three times a day.
So better to take it thrice daily.
Twice daily dose is insufficient and hence chances if partial or incomplete recovery are more. So better to take it thrice daily.
If she is having vomiting then better to take advent after meals or some food.
Also give her antacid and anti emetic combination prior to meals.
These will help in subsiding vomiting. So give her thrice daily, don't give advent twice daily.
