Is it safe to take Vicodin/Hydrocodone?

Hello...i m 55 yrs old,6 6 ,and 320#..I m on Warfarin & Dlitizem,Enlapril,and Metformin since 2008...I also have moderate/severe athritis in my left ankle...I have a prescription for Vicodin/Hydrocodone,but i dont take it everyday,just as needed..But i have been told that this painkiller is hard on my Liver.I m taking the Enlapril,as i was told i have some kidney damage..your thoughts please?
