Is It Safe To Take Ranitidine After Discontinuing Pepcid?
I am on Prednisone (divided doses ) for the 5th day of a 12 day period and have been taking Pepcid 20 mg twice a day...wanting to change to Ranitidine. I took the PEPCID this morning ..is it okay to start Ranitidine tonight or should I wait 24 hours from last dose of Pepcid??

I have gone through your query. Famotidine(PEPCID) is a newer generation of H2 receptor antagonist which is more effective than ranitidine. But if famotidine is not available i give ranitidine also in place of that which is so cheap also. You can take on the same time which you use to take famotidine(pepcid).
