Hello,

The Prothiaden is not a conventional pain killer used for the pain in forehead and chest. It is widely used by clinicians for the control of depression in various stages as action similar to tricyclic anti depressant medications. Though acts also for mild to moderate pain control and relief, there are significant side effects of anti cholinergic properties such as:
- Dry mouth
- Constipation
- Blurred vision
- Tremors
- GI distress
- Others

Kindly discuss the side effects profile with your treating doctor before proceeding for the dose intake of Prothiaden. The Lonazep is relatively safer molecule against Prothiaden and can be easily and safely consumed right now.

Over and above the medications, deep breathing exercises, meditations and YOGA will help great recovery within short period of span.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
