Is It Safe To Take I-pill While On Medications For Hypothyroidism And Mesntrual Problem?
Hi, my wife has been prescribed medicine of Dydrogestrone for making her periods regular. She is currently on subclinical hypothyroid where her last checked Tsh level was 3.83.We had unprotected sex on Day 8th of her cycle and I might have accidentally slipped in a drop of semen.My wife wants to take iPill to avoid the pregnancy as we are planning for the child after 3 - 4 months. Can you please help if taking an Ipill is safe with the above background.(Note :- My wife had undergone a miscarriage 8 months ago and had developed thyroid after that )Her age is 29 years.

You have did sex in the safe period of cycle and so chance of pregnancy is less.
I pill further cause menstrual irregularity as it contain high progesterone.
It further aggravate the already menstrual irregularity.
So better to avoid at this time no ovum is released so chance of fertilization is less.
Use safe sex practice in future to prevent the unwanted pregnancy.
