Is It Safe To Take Endogest-200 During Pregnancy ?

Hi,
I am 2months Pregnent.And i am Working Women.
I have done my scanning and it is normal. And also done Blood and urine test and that is also normal.
Doctor suggested me to take Endogest-200 tablet(vaginal). Is that safe? And why i should take.
Please suggest me with your answer.

Endogest is a progesterone analogue. Progesterone helps to prevent abortions and also preterm labor. It is used in women with history of abortions or preterm labor to prevent them in current pregnancy. Some doctors use it in every pregnancy even though such use does not offer much advantage. So it does not help but does not harm either. It just helps to prevent abortions. Please discuss this with your doctor who prescribed it as there may be some other factor that you may be overlooking.
