Is It Safe To Take Benadryl After Having Cheratussin?
Prescribed cheratussin for pneumonia because the doctor said it should help relieve my cough so I could sleep but now I m wired and see that insomnia is a possible side effect. Is it safe to take benadryl after I have used the cheratussin? I just want some sleep

Cheratussin reduces cough as well as induces sleep. it doesn't cause any insomnia. ya it is safe to take benadryl cough syrup if you have stopped taking Cheratussin. but Cheratussin contains codeine which suppress cough more effectively than benadryl. if you want sleep you can shift to banadrly no problem
