Is It Safe To Take Aleve For Rib Pain?

I am 69 years old, female, with bronchiostasis, asthma, and copd. I am taking a 10 day dose of prednisone, and have just started a 15 day dose of ciprofloxacin for excessive floral bacteria in bronchials. I have been coughing a lot for weeks, and just today(amazingly) have a sore rib. Is it safe for me to take Aleve for that pain? Tylenol didn t help. Also I m wondering if I have to avoid yogurt while taking the antibiotic. The printout I received with the drug is confusing: in one place it says to not take calcium-rich foods, such as yogurt, at the same time as the drug, but in another place it says to avoid the calcium-rich foods 2 hrs before or 6 hrs after.

Aleve (naproxen) is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug useful in reducing pain. But these drugs can also worsen the asthma.
Do take Aleve if the pain is severe and take it for shortest possible time. Though the risk of worsening of asthma is small and also it is still less as you are on steroids, caution should be taken nevertheless.
