Smoking after a procedure such as yours is never recommended. Smoking delays healing times and puts added strain on your cardiac system. I would recommend speaking to the physician who completed the procedure about alcohol intake, but in my experience this too should also be avoided. Alcohol in sparing moderation; <3 drinks per week is typically what is advised.

Hi
Thanks for posting your query .

See Smoking and drinking has no direct effect on the stent . But Smoking and drinking will elevate your blood Cholesterol levels and elevated cholesterol gets deposited in blood vessels including Heart's blood vessels ( Infact that was the reason why your LAD was blocked ) also the elevated cholesterol can Block your Stent also .
All these will happen over period of years , I advise you to cut down on your smoking and drinking and eventually stop it .

HI

Thanks for posting your query .

First of all you had a 100% block of your LAD due to excess cholesterol deposition in your heart vessels .
Smoking and drinking will increase Blood cholesterol if done over long period . I strongly advise you to cut down smoking and drinking and stop it eventually .
