Is It Safe To Replace The Strata Valve VP Shunt?

I have a strata valve VP shunt and just had readjusted on the 28th of May, it s now the 21st of June and the headaches are back. I keep reading that there is a huge incidence of malfunctions in this type of valve. Is it wise to tell my Dr. to replace the system?

Hi,

I am Dr.Bruno. I have read your question with care and understand your concerns. Let me try to help you

Question : The headaches are back. Is it wise to tell my Dr. to replace the system?
Answer : I would suggest you to visit your doctor so that he changes the pressure. I don't think that there is a need to replace the system as long as the shunt drains. Just because it has malfunctioned in some one else does not mean it has to malfunction in you.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

If you need any clarification / have doubts / have additional questions / have follow up questions, then please do not hesitate in asking again. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
