Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... good day doc.my question is that am 38 years old male, and having hapatitis c(pcr test positive).i was not taking any medicine earlier as per doc advice, as my virus was negetive earlier.its just turned positive few days back. now i want to produce baby.please guide me whether its safe to have sex in this condition.what effects it can have on my wife and potential baby.regards

thanks for posting query at HCM.

your strongly advised to visit a hepatologist and start the treatment for HepC infection and then may plan your baby thereafter. HepC infection is treatable now and may take from 12 to 24 weeks.

in addition, "oral" drugs are available now.
