Condoms are pretty safe as a method of birth control and it also protects against stds. But if you want to choose oc pills as method of birth control its your choice. You will need to see a doctor for a prescription and a detailed history and some basic tests have to be done.Birth control pills are hormones and taking them can of course cause some side effects like weight gain, break through bleeding, mood swings etc.Usually they settle down within few weeks of use.
