Is It Safe To Have Gaviscon Along With Apo-omeprazole?

I have been prescribed 20 mg Apo-Omeprazole twice daily before meals. I also have Gaviscon which I use to reduce severe pain when climbing stairs bending and when sleeping. My question is should I take Gaviscon when pain appears or routinely before meals?

Gaviscon works as a antacid ,it is not the pain killer so it has no harms in taking it routinely before meals.
