Is It Safe To Give Concerta And Prozac For Panic Attacks In Children?

I have a 15 yr old son who thinks he is having a panic attack (these have recently been suggested to him) his heart rate is 129 and his bp is 159/88. He takes 72mg concerta, 20 mg Prozac, 150mg Welbutrin, and 3 mg Intuniv. Is this something I should be concerned about? Do I need to take him into the er?

Thanks for asking a question at HCM

I will be glad to answer for you

He definitely has high heart rate and Blood pressure.

Panic attack can cause high heart rate on one hand, other cause can be due to the drugs he is taking

Now BP and heart rate vary every minute. You can check after 20 minutes and see if it has come down a little or please take him to hospital/ER

Hope this helps

Best Regards
Dr Chaithanya
