General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

He can use the asthalin, if he has no history of problems with it. It contains a mixture of a mucolytic (medication to help break up and bring up mucus) and a bronchodilator (medication that helps to open airways, found in inhalers- closure can cause coughing, ).

Most persons would use with no effects but possible effects would include temporary increase in heart rate due to the inhaler like medication.
This stops once the medication stops and causes no long term problems

I hope this helps
