Is It Safe To Get Pregnant At 41 With Pulmonary Embolism?
I am 41 and think I may be pregnant with my 4th child . My last pregnancy was difficult and I had a pulmonary embolism one week after delivery.I was put on coumadin for 6 months after. This was 7 years ago. I have beentested for every clotting disorder imaginable all normal except mthfr homo A, which a hematologist told me did not cause my PE. I do not take blood thinners, but do daily aspirin as a precaution. My question is, is it safe to be pregnant at this age and after a PE?
Hi, I opinion please do not plan further pregnancy because you are now 40 ,chances of chromosomal abnormality in baby is high, and there is chance of hypertension and diabetes during pregnancy. You th ave clotting problem also, your pregnancy would be complicated pregnancy. So do not think of it.
