Is It Safe To Continue Taking Ginette For Irregular Periods?

hi,i used to have irregular periods.i have consulted one of the reputed doctors three moths back. Im 20 years old nd iam unmarried.I was suggested ginette35.For the first month of dosage i missed using tablets for more than 7 days in the middle of the course of 21 days....so my periods got late for those missed days.then my doctor suggested to use ginette35 for another 3 months. For now,I completed 2 months course and my periods got regular for those two months.Should i use these pills for one more month to complete the course of 3 months prescribed my doctor.if i do so,should i face any problems in future for using more than 3 months .Whether ginette 35 is having any limitations in dosage for curing irregular periods. Many of my friends scared me that we should not use these medicines for along time.so, please suggest me the dosage......

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Ginnette is one type of oral contraceptive, it can also be used to regularize the periods.

There are some women who are on this or other forms of hormonal contraception for years at a time.
This means that you can consider continuing the medication for as long as you and your doctor think it is necessary.

I hope this helps
