Is It Safe To Bolt The Collapsed Vertebrae Post A Fall?

Hi my mom 50 years old has fallen down and she is suffering a serious back pain, when examined doctors found her anterior d12 vertebral had collapsed. And they said it would be better to bolt the vertebrate. Could someone please explain pros and cons and also if bolting can be trusted in long term Or is there are any other ways to get cured other than operating??

Hi
Unless her spine is unstable because of the compression fracture of that vertebra there is no indication for surgery.

She needs to see a physiatrist--a physical medicine and rehabilitation MD specialist--for a customized physical therapy program
