my uncle has a fluctuating BP SHOOTS UPTO 220/100 and then comes down to 90/60... he was on amelopres for his BP and had swelling in his ankles n legs now medicine has changed n this is causing this fluctuation and mental disorientatin he is in the hospital but we want a second opinion that is it withdrawl symptoms of amelopres
Ankle swelling is commonly from amlodipine Such wide fluctuations of pressure are not likely from the drug! - He may need investigations to exclude conditions like Pheochromocytoma The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.
