Is It Safe For The Stress Fracture In The Metastratal Without A Boot?

my 13 year old daughter has been wearing a moon boot for 2 weeks after being told she has a stress fracture in her 4th metatarsal, she was told to wear it for 4 weeks, but she says it feels fine and is able to put weight on it without being sore.
just wondering if it would be safe to go without the boot,she will not be doing any running or jumping.

my advise would be take plenty of dairy products rich in vit.d and calcium with analgesic like paracetamol on s.o.s. basis. now she can wear normal sport shoe it's been two week on moon boot.
